Sophie Divett is a contemporary jeweller based in Christchurch, New Zealand. Taking her inspirations from nature and antiquity, she specialises in organic, refined pieces using ethically sourced metals and natural gems.

Her aesthetic draws on the delicately flawed beauty of natural forms, and repetitive textures and patterns found in nature. Another source of inspiration comes from the imperfect beauty of ancient artefacts that show their history on the surface as they are marked by corrosion and decay. Here, it becomes uncertain where the object ends and the hand of nature begins. Sophie’s pieces are made to be worn, to take the knocks of life and become polished next to the skin to become part of the wearer.
