Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland
Belinda Griffiths is a conceptual figurative artist based in Auckland. Working within the disciplines of painting and printmaking, her art explores the expressive power of the gestural mark. When coupled with depictions of the human form, this push and pull between mark and form seeks to connect us with a deeper understanding of the human experience.
Belinda was the recipient of the Molly Morpeth Canaday Art Award (2010) and The Estuary Artwork and Ecology Award (2013). She has been selected as a finalist in several awards, The Wallace Art Award, NZ Painting and Printmaking Award, The Parkin Drawing Prize, Adam Portraiture Award.
