One Stroke

06 - 31 March 26

Opening night:
Friday 6th March, 5-7pm

This new body of work features one sole brush stroke extrusion which is manipulated to create delicate networks of porcelain. Limiting the mark to one stroke opens multiple possibilities for variety in structure, pattern and detail. Some are flat and the extrusions weave together; others are more sculptural and interconnect haphazardly to protrude from the wall at all angles. The stroke details are sometimes carefully outlined and emphasized and other times are covered in a rainbow of pooling glaze as if to camouflage together. The backing of each wall piece is coated in a buzzing neon shade of pink, orange or red; creating a glowing halo when set against a white wall.
